Prof. Richard Farkas, Dept. of Political Science, DePaul University, Chicago
will teach this intensive course for students of History and Journalism. This course is designed to nurture the skills associated with thinking about politics in a more sophisticated and global way. To accomplish this, a student will need to think conceptually, express one’s thoughts, and process ideas by linking facts. Students also need to learn how to assess and measure his/her level of confidence in an idea. They will try to understand in a systematic way how global patterns and developments are or can impact on Ukraine. The lectures select just a few of the challenges we find in our world. This course will combine elements of comparative and elements of international analysis. It will demonstrate the range of issues regularly attracting the attention of political scientists.
